Privacy Policy
Effective 16 July 2026 · applies to the Dutchnest iOS app and dutchnest.nl
Dutchnest is built to be private by design: the course runs entirely on your device, and we collect the minimum needed to back up your progress.
What we collect
- Account details — when you sign in with Apple or Google we receive your name and email address (with Sign in with Apple you may hide your email). We use them only to identify your account.
- Learning progress — completed lessons, review schedule, streaks, XP and achievements are backed up to your account so you can restore them on another device.
What we don't do
- No analytics or behavioural tracking SDKs.
- No selling or sharing of personal data with third parties.
- No data leaves your device until you create an account; learning works fully offline.
- The app currently shows no advertising. If we ever add limited, non-personalized ads to the free tier, this policy and the App Store listing will be updated first.
Where your data lives
Account and progress data are stored on our own server hosted in the European Union (Germany), reached only over encrypted connections (TLS).
Deleting your data
Signing out removes all learning data from the device. You can delete your account and all server data from within the app (Account → Delete account), or by emailing us — we complete deletion within 30 days.
Your rights
Under the GDPR you can request access, correction, export or erasure of your data at any time via support@dutchnest.nl.
Children
Dutchnest is a general-audience education app and does not knowingly collect data from children under 13; accounts are intended for users 13 and older.
Changes
We will post any changes on this page and update the effective date above.
